ROADMAP
Day 01 - 10/08 - Thursday: Barcelona, Spain
Arrival in the vibrant city of Barcelona, one of the most cultural and dynamic capitals in Europe. This is the time to adjust to the time zone, finalize motorcycle preparations, and explore the city’s attractions such as Sagrada Família and the Gothic Quarter. It’s a great opportunity to relax and prepare for the motorcycle journey starting the next day. We leave Saturday “free” for those who prefer to arrive a day earlier and enjoy the city on their own.
Day 02 - 10/09 - Friday: Barcelona, Spain > Andorra la Vella, Andorra | 250 km
On this day, the route from Barcelona to Andorra will be a preview of what lies ahead! First, we will visit the Montserrat Monastery, one of the top attractions in the region. An incredible place in the mountains with beautiful access roads. After the visit, we will have lunch and continue to Andorra through stunning routes. Andorra is a small country known for its vibrant downtown, attractive shopping, and thermal waters. We’ll enjoy it a lot here!
Day 03 - 10/10 - Saturday: Andorra la Vella, Andorra > Collioure, France | 215 km
Today we cross the Pyrenees on beautiful roads and enter France! We will pass through small towns until reaching this lesser-known corner that offers stunning landscapes and a perfect setting for a walk with cinematic views. A coastal “spot” with a beautiful castle and excellent gastronomy. You will love this piece of France.
Day 04 - 10/11 - Sunday: Collioure, France > Carcassonne, France | 170 km
Time to leave the beautiful seaside town and head to one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe, Carcassonne. Don’t be fooled by the “short” distance. The chosen route will follow secondary roads through the mountains so we can enjoy the day with beautiful scenery. Carcassonne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with imposing walls and cobblestone streets that look like they came out of a fairy tale. We’ll enjoy our late afternoon there!
Day 05 - 10/12 - Monday: Carcassonne, France > Bordeaux, France | 350 km
This will be a “transfer” day! We leave eastern France heading to the opposite side. The goal is to arrive early in Bordeaux to enjoy everything this beautiful (and surprising) city has to offer. Here we’ll have the opportunity to “get lost” among its streets, historic buildings, and excellent gastronomy!
Day 06 - 10/13 - Tuesday: Bordeaux, France – Free day
A free day to relax and explore the Bordeaux region. Our plan includes a visit to the charming town of Saint-Émilion, located just a few kilometers away. Saint-Émilion is famous for its Grand Cru wines. There are many winery options and wine-paired lunches!
Day 07 - 10/14 - Wednesday: Bordeaux, France > San Sebastián, Spain | 260 km
Today the journey takes you to the coastal city of San Sebastián, Spain. Leaving the wine region, the scenery begins to change as mountains and the Basque coastline come into view. San Sebastián is known for its beautiful beaches and exceptional cuisine, making it a perfect place to experience Basque gastronomy. Along the way, we will stop in the vibrant city of Biarritz, still on the French side.
Day 08 - 10/15 - Thursday: San Sebastián, Spain – Free day
A well-deserved rest day in this city full of architecture and history. We will enjoy plenty of “tapas” paired with great wines. A coastal city with many entertainment options. A day to relax before starting the return journey to Barcelona.
Day 09 - 10/16 - Friday: San Sebastián, Spain > Boltaña, Spain | 360 km
This will be one of the most challenging and exciting days, with a long ride through the mountainous roads of the Pyrenees to Boltaña. Tight curves, imposing landscapes, and the sense of isolation in the mountains make this route an unforgettable adventure for any motorcyclist.
Day 10 - 10/17 - Saturday: Boltaña, Spain > Barcelona, Spain | 283 km
The return to Barcelona passes through some of the best roads in Catalonia, with incredible views and thrilling curves. Upon arrival in Barcelona, it’s time to celebrate the success of this epic journey through the mountains and vineyards of Europe with a farewell dinner.
Day 11 - 10/18 - Sunday: Barcelona, Spain > Home
Farewell to Barcelona and return home. A moment to reflect on the experiences lived during the trip, with memories of magnificent landscapes, challenging roads, and rich cultures.
