Motorcycle Tour of the United Kingdom
A motorcycle tour of the United Kingdom is a pilgrimage to where motorcycling began. Over 13 days and roughly 2,400 km, the ROXMOTORS route leaves London and crosses England, Wales, the Isle of Man and Scotland — taking in the Triumph factory, the Isle of Man TT course, a night in a castle and the shores of Loch Ness.
The trip every rider wants to make once
This route sets aside the more obvious European destinations for something else: history, tradition and that British atmosphere you know from the films. You ride on the left along country lanes, visit the Beatles museum in Liverpool, take a whisky tour at Glenkinchie and lap the most famous island in motorcycling. All 100% tarmac, at the most relaxed level on the ROXMOTORS scale.
What you will see in the United Kingdom
- Isle of Man — two days on the most famous island in motorcycling, riding the same course as the TT, at whatever pace you choose;
- Triumph factory and museum — an optional visit in Hinckley, the home of the marque;
- Stonehenge, Bath and the Cotswolds — on the first riding day out of London;
- A night in a castle — one night at Ruthin Castle in Wales, after Warwick Castle and its falconry display;
- Loch Ness and the Highlands — crossing Scotland via Glasgow, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park to Inverness, with a free day for Urquhart Castle;
- Edinburgh and whisky — two nights in the Scottish capital, with a Glenkinchie distillery tour and Edinburgh Castle.

Getting ready
The United Kingdom is outside the Schengen Area and sets its own entry rules: many nationalities travel visa free for tourism, but a valid passport is required and, since 2025, an Electronic Travel Authorisation — check the rules for your nationality, and our team will guide you through the process. An International Driving Permit is recommended, and travel insurance is already included. The currency is the pound sterling, and the Isle of Man issues its own notes. About a month before departure we open a WhatsApp group with the road book, packing tips, paperwork and currency guidance.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need my own motorcycle? No. The motorcycle is included and waiting for you at the start of the tour in London.
- Is riding on the left difficult? The first few kilometres take concentration, especially at roundabouts and turns. The day one briefing covers it, and the guide leads the group through the early stages until everyone settles in.
- Can I bring a pillion? Yes. The route is 100% tarmac, with two free days and well spaced daily distances.
- When is the best time to go? September, when the tour runs: the days are still long, the summer traffic has gone and Scotland is at its most colourful.
