Motorcycle Tour of Eastern Europe
A motorcycle tour of Eastern Europe links six countries by quiet roads and imperial capitals: Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic. Over 14 days and roughly 2,300 km, the ROXMOTORS route alternates riding days with free days in Vienna, Budapest, Kraków and Prague — four cities that deserve more than a quick pass.
Great roads, even better cities
This is a route built on balance. Daily distances are short enough to arrive early in each city, and the itinerary sets aside four full days off the bike — in Vienna, Budapest, Kraków and Prague — precisely because those places cannot be done in an afternoon. It is 100% tarmac, easy-going, and runs from Habsburg palaces to thermal baths, from the Tatra Mountains to Prague’s Astronomical Clock.
What you will see in Eastern Europe
- Vienna — the imperial elegance of Schönbrunn Palace and the Kunsthistorisches Museum, with a full free day on the Danube;
- Budapest — a boat trip on the Danube, the lit bridges and the thermal baths that define the city;
- Tatra Mountains and Zakopane — the highest peaks of the Carpathians and the wooden chalets of the Polish base town;
- Kraków — a UNESCO World Heritage old town of medieval streets and squares, with an optional visit to Auschwitz;
- Prague — the city of a hundred spires, with the Astronomical Clock, the bridges and a free day for the historic centre;
- Košice and Brno — Slovakia’s second city with its Hlavná Street square, and the Czech university town.

Getting ready
Most visitors need only a passport valid for at least six months to enter the Schengen Area for stays of up to 90 days — check the rules for your nationality. All six countries on this route are inside the Schengen Area. An International Driving Permit is recommended, and the mandatory travel insurance is already included. About a month before departure we open a WhatsApp group with the road book, packing tips, paperwork and currency guidance — worth remembering that Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic keep their own currencies rather than the euro.
