Day 1 - Aug 06 - Friday: Salt Lake City, UT
Arrival in the United States and motorcycle pick-up at the rental partner. We hold a detailed technical briefing on the route, road conditions, weather and group riding dynamics. Time for fine-tuning the bikes, personal shopping and adjusting to the time zone. In the evening, the official opening dinner marks the start of the expedition through the American West.
Day 2 - Aug 07 - Saturday: Salt Lake City, UT >> Casper, WY | 665 km
The first big transfer of the tour. We leave Utah towards Wyoming, crossing wide plains, isolated rock formations and classic Old West landscapes. A steady-paced day, ideal for adapting to the American riding style and the long distances. Arrival in Casper in the late afternoon.
Day 3 - Aug 08 - Sunday: Casper, WY >> Deadwood, SD | 380 km
We head towards South Dakota. The scenery gradually changes, with more vegetation and mountain formations. Strategic entry into the Black Hills region, where the history of the Old West is still alive. Arrival in Deadwood, a historic town that breathes biker culture during the Sturgis Rally period.
Day 4 - Aug 09 - Monday: Black Hills & Mount Rushmore | 200 km
A day dedicated to exploring one of the most beautiful regions of the American mid-north. We ride through the Black Hills National Forest, taking on technical curves and rock-carved tunnels like the Needle Eye Tunnel. Visit to the iconic Mount Rushmore, with the faces of Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln carved into the mountain. Enjoyable riding with extremely high scenic value all day long.
Day 5 - Aug 10 - Tuesday: Sturgis Rally | 150 km
Total immersion in the largest motorcycle gathering in the world. We ride around Sturgis and its surroundings, exploring meets, exhibitions, official stores and side events. A regional ride along the scenic roads near the rally, soaking up the unique atmosphere that turns the region into the global epicenter of Harley-Davidson culture during these days.
Day 6 - Aug 11 - Wednesday: Deadwood, SD >> Sheridan, WY | 380 km
We leave South Dakota heading to northern Wyoming. Along the way, a strategic stop at Devils Tower, the imposing rock formation that rises abruptly from the plains — the setting of the classic film ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’. A balanced day of smooth riding and scenic contemplation. Arrival in Sheridan in the late afternoon.
Day 7 - Aug 12 - Thursday: Sheridan, WY >> Red Lodge, MT | 310 km
A transition stretch towards the great mountains. The landscape becomes progressively more alpine, with more technical curves and cooler weather. Red Lodge sets the stage for one of the most impressive days of the whole trip: the crossing of the Beartooth Pass.
Day 8 - Aug 13 - Friday: Red Lodge, MT >> Jackson Hole, WY | 540 km
One of the most spectacular days of the route. Climb up the Beartooth Pass, reaching 3,340 meters of altitude, with successive high-altitude curves and breathtaking panoramic views. Next, we cross Yellowstone National Park, where you can see geysers, geothermal formations and the region’s typical wildlife. A long, technical and unforgettable day.
Day 9 - Aug 14 - Saturday: Jackson Hole, WY >> Salt Lake City, UT | 490 km
The last big transfer of the expedition. We descend from the mountains towards Utah, closing the loop of our crossing of the American West. Arrival in Salt Lake City, motorcycle drop-off and the official farewell dinner.
Day 10 - Aug 15 - Sunday: Salt Lake City, UT
A day reserved for personal organization and check-out. The official end of the Yellowstone & Sturgis Rally experience.
