Alps and Dolomites Motorcycle Tour
A motorcycle tour of the Alps and the Dolomites means riding the most famous mountain passes in Europe — Stelvio, Gavia, Furka, Grossglockner and the Dolomites loop — in a single trip, starting and ending in Milan. ROXMOTORS runs the route in three formats, from 8 to 14 days, all with the motorcycle included, a support vehicle and groups of no more than 10 bikes.
Three formats, the same heart
All three formats ride the Stelvio Pass, the Gavia Pass and the Dolomites loop from Bolzano, capital of South Tyrol. What changes is how much time you have: Essencial packs the best into 8 days; Grand Experience adds the great Swiss passes, St. Moritz and the Grossglockner in Austria; and Full includes Chamonix Mont-Blanc and Lake Como, with free days to rest.
Route highlights
- Stelvio Pass — at 2,757 m, with around 60 hairpins: the ultimate icon of European motorcycling;
- Gavia Pass — narrower and more technical, the gateway to the Dolomites;
- Dolomites loop — a full day without luggage over the Sella, Pordoi, Gardena and other passes, from Bolzano;
- Swiss passes — Furka (of the Goldfinger scene), Susten, Grimsel, Nufenen and the cobbled Tremola;
- Grossglockner High Alpine Road — 48 km of bends to the foot of Austria’s highest mountain (Grand Experience);
- Timmelsjoch and the Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum — one of the largest motorcycle museums in Europe, high in the mountains;
- Italian lakes — Lake Garda and Sirmione, or Lake Como and Bellagio, to end the trip.

Frequently asked questions
- Which format should I choose? Essencial is for those short on time; Grand Experience is the most complete in mountain passes; Full has the most relaxed pace, with three free days.
- Do I need my own motorcycle? No. The bike is included and waiting for you in Milan.
- Can I bring a pillion? Yes. Loop days start and end at the same hotel, which makes the trip more comfortable for two.
- When is the best time to go? The great passes open around June, once the snow is cleared, and close in autumn — which is why departures run between June and September.
- How is it different from Alps Experience? Alps Experience is the 10-day classic through Chamonix, St. Moritz and Lake Garda, without the Dolomites.
- Are there other motorcycle tours in Europe? Yes. See the full calendar of European tours.
