ITINERARY
Day 1 - Oct 31 - Saturday: Haras Tuiuti >> Campos do Jordão | 200 km
We will cross three regions of the Serra da Mantiqueira, passing through historic towns and mountain scenery. Along the way we ride through Tuiuti, Socorro, Munhoz, Camanducaia, São Mateus de Minas, Sapucaí-Mirim and São Bento do Sapucaí before reaching Campos do Jordão.
The route follows little-explored country roads, valleys, plantations, century-old farms, preserved areas of Atlantic Forest and several natural viewpoints of the Mantiqueira.
Highlights:

Day 2 - Nov 1 - Sunday: Campos do Jordão >> Haras Tuiuti | 200 km
After exploring Campos do Jordão, we start our way back on a route that avoids the usual roads, favouring scenic drives, rural trails and landscapes that show another side of the Serra da Mantiqueira. More than a ride home, it is one more day of adventure, crossing mountains, farms and valleys and enjoying every kilometre back to Haras Tuiuti.
Along the way we pass through Santo Antônio do Pinhal, the Sapucaí-Mirim region, Camanducaia, Munhoz and Socorro until we arrive at Haras Tuiuti.
Type of route: country roads, dirt sections, mountain range, Atlantic Forest and connecting paved stretches.
Stop at the Villa Santa Maria winery: located in São Bento do Sapucaí, it is considered one of the most renowned wineries in the Serra da Mantiqueira. The region has become a national reference in the production of the so-called winter wines, thanks to the double pruning technique, which allows grapes to be harvested during the winter and brings a greater concentration of aromas and higher wine quality. The winery offers a privileged view of the mountains and gastronomic experiences among the vineyards.
Serra da Mantiqueira: altitudes between 900 and more than 1,700 metres, mountain climate for practically the whole route and one of the largest preserved areas of Atlantic Forest in Brazil, with landscapes that alternate between forests, high-altitude grasslands and deep valleys. On the way back the scenery takes on a different light, revealing new perspectives of the valleys and mountains that often go unnoticed on the way out.
Off-road experience: dirt roads, crossings through farms, winding mountain sections, natural viewpoints and constant changes in altitude and temperature.
Constant contact with nature: along the crossing, the vegetation alternates between preserved Atlantic Forest, high-altitude grasslands, reforested areas and small rural properties that keep the charm of the São Paulo and Minas Gerais countryside.

PROPER GEAR
Besides the helmet, long-sleeved shirts and closed shoes are mandatory. Shorts are accepted. Do not forget to bring a change of clothes, warmer clothing (depending on the weather that day) and a rain jacket.
