Atacama Desert Motorcycle Tour
Riding a motorcycle across the Atacama means crossing the driest and highest desert on earth, through landscapes so saturated in colour they look unreal. At ROXMOTORS the tour starts in Chile with your bike already waiting for you: a Fly & Ride format that delivers the Atacama in a few days, without the long transit kilometres of riding down from home. You fly into Chile, ride a road-ready Triumph Tiger and go home with the desert in your memory.
Fly & Ride: the Atacama for riders who are short on time
Our 6-day tour covers the essential Atacama by motorcycle — San Pedro, Valle de la Luna, El Tatio Geysers, the Altiplanic Lagoons and the iconic Hand of the Desert. You make the most of every day in the desert, with hand-picked hotels, an experienced guide and a support vehicle, instead of spending the whole trip in transit.
What you will see in the Atacama
- San Pedro de Atacama — the base village at 2,800 m, with dirt streets, great food and travellers from every corner of the desert.
- Valle de la Luna — salt, gypsum and clay formations that look like the surface of the moon.
- El Tatio Geysers — columns of 85 °C steam bursting out of the freezing altiplano dawn.
- Altiplanic Lagoons — Miscanti, Miñiques and Laguna Cejar, so salty that your body floats.
