Motorcycle Tour of the Blues Trail

Motorcycle Tour of the Blues Trail

A motorcycle tour of the Blues Trail crosses the American South guided by the music that shaped the country’s culture. Over 10 days and roughly 2,465 km, the ROXMOTORS route loops out of Atlanta through Birmingham, Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans — from country to blues, from blues to jazz.

The musical soul of America, on two wheels

This is not simply a motorcycle tour of the United States. It is a journey through the country’s musical soul, where every road leads to a story, every city keeps its own rhythm and every stop carries centuries of culture. Here the motorcycle is not just transport — it is the most authentic way to feel the route, to get close to the people, the music and the stories born at the roadside. And it is one of two ROXMOTORS routes in North America ridden on Harley-Davidson Softail models.

What you will see on the Blues Trail

  • Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum — in Birmingham, one of the world’s largest collections of racing motorcycles;
  • Nashville — the capital of country music, with Broadway and its historic live music bars on every corner;
  • Jack Daniel’s Distillery — in Lynchburg, where tradition, time and authenticity meet;
  • Memphis and Beale Street — the city where the blues found its voice, plus Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley;
  • Natchez Trace Parkway — one of the most beautiful parkways in the American South, on the run down to New Orleans;
  • New Orleans — the birthplace of jazz, with a Mississippi riverboat trip, historic streets and a cuisine that blends cultures.

Getting ready

Entry rules for the United States depend on your nationality: many travellers need an ESTA authorisation, others a visitor visa — check what applies to you and start early. An International Driving Permit is recommended, and travel insurance is already included. May in the South is hot and humid, with afternoon showers: bring waterproofs. About a month before departure we open a WhatsApp group with the road book, packing tips, paperwork and currency guidance.
