Motorcycle Tour of the National Parks and Route 66
A motorcycle tour of the American Southwest crosses, in just a few days, some of the most photographed landscapes on earth: Zion, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon, linked by scenic byways and a stretch of the legendary Route 66. Over 9 days and roughly 1,770 km, the ROXMOTORS route runs a loop out of Las Vegas through Nevada, Utah and Arizona.
Western scenery, cinematic roads
This is a route of contrasts: from the lights of Las Vegas to the red rock of Bryce, from the silence of Monument Valley to the vintage motels of Route 66 between Seligman and Kingman. Daily distances are moderate, Highway 12 is an All-American Road, and there is a full free day in Moab — the hub of American outdoor adventure, between Arches and Canyonlands. All 100% tarmac, at the most relaxed level on the ROXMOTORS scale.

- Bryce Canyon and Highway 12 — the hoodoos in red, orange and white, and one of the country’s most celebrated scenic roads;

- Monument Valley — the sandstone monoliths on Navajo Nation land, with the Valley of the Gods and the Moki Dugway on the way;
- Horseshoe Bend and the Grand Canyon — the horseshoe curve of the Colorado near Page, and a night inside the park on the South Rim;
- Route 66 — the stretch between Seligman and Kingman, where the road opened in 1926 still shows the authentic America.

- Day 1 — Las Vegas: arrival, group briefing, handover of the motorcycles and welcome dinner;
- Days 2 and 3 — Utah: out past Lake Mead and the Valley of Fire to Springdale, then through Zion and Bryce along Highway 12 to Escalante;
- Days 4 and 5 — Moab: scenic roads via Torrey and Hanksville, and a free day between Arches and Canyonlands;
- Days 6 and 7 — Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon: Valley of the Gods, the Moki Dugway, Horseshoe Bend and the night inside the park;
- Days 8 and 9 — Route 66 and the return: Williams, Seligman and Kingman back to Las Vegas, farewell dinner and end of tour.

Getting ready
Entry rules for the United States depend on your nationality: many travellers need an ESTA authorisation, others a visitor visa — check what applies to you and start early, since appointment waits can be long. An International Driving Permit is recommended, and travel insurance is already included. October in the Southwest brings mild days and cold nights, especially at altitude in Bryce and on the Grand Canyon rim. About a month before departure we open a WhatsApp group with the road book, packing tips, paperwork and currency guidance.

- Do I need my own motorcycle? No. The motorcycle is included and waiting for you at the start of the tour in Las Vegas.
- Do I need a US visa? It depends on your nationality — some travellers qualify for ESTA, others need a visitor visa. Start the process as soon as you book.
- Can I bring a pillion? Yes. The route is 100% tarmac, with a free day in Moab and moderate daily distances.
- When is the best time to go? October, when the tour runs: the desert summer heat has passed and the parks are quieter.
