ROADMAP
Day 1 – September 4 (Saturday): Budapest, Hungary
Arrival in the elegant Hungarian capital, where the Danube divides Buda and Pest beneath historic bridges illuminated at sunset. The city already sets the tone for the journey: monumental architecture, historic cafés, and an atmosphere that blends imperial heritage with modern life. In the late afternoon, technical briefing and first contact with the motorcycles. The anticipation begins to take shape.
Day 2 – September 5 (Sunday): Budapest, Hungary >> Timișoara, Romania | 320 km
We leave Budapest heading southeast, crossing vast plains toward the Romanian border. The landscape shifts subtly: less monumental, more rural, more authentic. Timișoara welcomes us with elegant squares and Austro-Hungarian-style facades. A first immersion into deep Eastern Europe.
Day 3 – September 6 (Monday): Timișoara, Romania >> Sibiu, Romania | 270 km
The roads begin to show their character. Gentle curves and rural villages lead us into Transylvania. Sibiu appears like a medieval painting: towers, sloped rooftops, and wide squares inviting a slow stroll. By nightfall, the historic center glows with warm light and a nearly cinematic atmosphere.
Day 4 – September 7 (Tuesday): Transfăgărășan | 250 km
The most anticipated day. The ascent along the Transfăgărășan unfolds progressively, revealing technical curves, tunnels carved into the mountains, and glacial lakes reflecting the sky. Every stop invites contemplation. Every curve delivers a new sensation. It feels like riding through one of the most iconic landscapes in the motorcycling world. Return to Sibiu with the certainty of having experienced something truly special.
Day 5 – September 8 (Wednesday): Sibiu, Romania >> Brașov, Romania | 150 km
A short, smooth, and enjoyable ride through the Carpathians. The pace slows to fully absorb the scenery. Brașov enchants with its compact medieval center, preserved walls, and cozy cafés — a city best experienced on foot.
Day 6 – September 9 (Thursday): Brașov, Romania – cultural day
A day dedicated to the region’s history and atmosphere. Visit to Bran Castle, surrounded by legends and framed by mountains. Free afternoon to explore cobblestone streets, taste local wines, or simply observe life unfolding in the medieval squares. A perfect balance between riding and culture.
Day 7 – September 10 (Friday): Brașov, Romania >> Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria | 300 km
We descend toward the Danube and cross into Bulgaria. The cultural transition is clear: architecture, language, and landscapes transform. Veliko Tarnovo impresses with its medieval fortress perched on dramatic hills. At night, the illuminated buildings create an almost theatrical setting.
Day 8 – September 11 (Saturday): Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria >> Plovdiv, Bulgaria | 220 km
Secondary roads cut through the Bulgarian countryside, revealing traditional villages and rolling hills. Plovdiv blends Roman ruins, colorful houses, and a vibrant cultural scene — a surprising city full of personality.
Day 9 – September 12 (Sunday): Plovdiv, Bulgaria >> Bansko, Bulgaria | 160 km
We enter the Rila and Pirin mountains. The air becomes cooler, the curves more frequent, and the scenery more alpine. Bansko appears surrounded by imposing peaks, offering a peaceful atmosphere with constant mountain views.
Day 10 – September 13 (Monday): Bansko, Bulgaria >> Rila Monastery, Bulgaria >> Sofia, Bulgaria | 180 km
We ride along winding roads to the Rila Monastery, one of Bulgaria’s most important spiritual landmarks. Surrounded by mountains, the complex impresses with its architecture and serene atmosphere. We continue to Sofia, a vibrant capital where Orthodox churches coexist with modern cafés and wide avenues.
Day 11 – September 14 (Tuesday): Sofia, Bulgaria – free day
A day to explore Sofia at your own pace. The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral dominates the skyline with its golden domes. Hidden streets reveal galleries, contemporary restaurants, and charming cafés. A strategic pause before the final stretch.
Day 12 – September 15 (Wednesday): Sofia, Bulgaria >> Belgrade, Serbia | 390 km
We head north along well-structured roads. The landscape alternates between mountains and open plains. Belgrade welcomes the group with vibrant energy on the banks of the Danube — an intense, modern, and surprisingly sophisticated city.
Day 13 – September 16 (Thursday): Belgrade, Serbia >> Budapest, Hungary | 380 km
The final major leg of the journey. Flat, flowing roads lead us back to Hungary. Arrival in Budapest in the afternoon. Farewell dinner celebrating a journey through cultures, landscapes, and unforgettable roads.
Day 14 – September 17 (Friday): Budapest, Hungary
End of the experience, taking with you memories that will last far beyond the journey.
