Day 1 - Feb 14 - Sunday: Arrival in Kiruna
Arrival in Kiruna, the true gateway to the Arctic. After a private transfer to the hotel, you will have time to absorb the region’s unique atmosphere. In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner, where we present the journey and align expectations for the upcoming days. If the sky is clear, we begin our first Northern Lights hunt.
Day 2 - Feb 15 - Monday: Husky Sled Expedition
Today, you take control of your own sled. After receiving full winter gear, we head to a traditional kennel. Each pair will drive their sled through forest trails and open landscapes for approximately 5 hours. This is an active and immersive experience — you drive, feel, and truly live the Arctic. During the journey, we stop for a hot lunch in the middle of nature.
Day 3 - Feb 16 - Tuesday: Sami Culture and Reindeer Experience
A deep dive into the culture of the Sami people, the original inhabitants of Lapland. You will learn about their traditions, history, and way of life in one of the most challenging environments on the planet. We visit a reindeer farm and understand the importance of these animals for survival in the Arctic. An authentic, cultural, and deeply enriching day. All transfers can be done by snowmobile. On this day, we will go out in search of the Northern Lights riding snowmobiles.
Day 4 - Feb 17 - Wednesday: Snowmobile Expedition
One of the most intense days of the journey. We ride snowmobiles across frozen rivers, dense forests, and remote areas. Each participant will have the opportunity to drive, alternating throughout the route. The feeling of freedom and isolation in this environment is unique. Strategic stops allow for photos and contemplation of the Arctic scenery. It will be a full day of stunning landscapes.
Day 5 - Feb 18 - Thursday: Icehotel Experience
Snowshoe hike through silent forests to a frozen lake. Ice fishing experience, one of the region’s most traditional practices. Lunch served directly on the lake, surrounded by the Arctic landscape. A moment of connection, silence, and extreme nature. In the late afternoon, we change hotels for one night at the Icehotel, one of the most exclusive experiences in the world. Built entirely from ice from the Torne River, the hotel is a true work of art. We explore its suites and galleries sculpted by international artists. At night, we live a unique experience: sleeping in an ice room, in a completely extraordinary environment.
Day 6 - Feb 19 - Friday: Arctic Nature and Northern Lights
We will visit the Kiruna iron mine, the largest underground mine in the world — an impressive contrast between nature and industry. After the visit, return for lunch and a visit to Sweden’s largest sled dog kennel. At nightfall, we head out again by snowmobile in search of the Northern Lights — a unique experience, exploring the Arctic in the dark under a star-filled sky.
Day 7 - Feb 20 - Saturday: Kiruna and Departure
Last day in the Arctic. We explore the city of Kiruna, including its famous wooden church, one of the region’s landmarks. Transfer to the airport and return home with the feeling of having lived a unique, intense, and transformative experience.
