HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PERU FULL EXPERIENCE TOUR
- COLCA CANYON
Colca Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world, offering breathtaking landscapes and rich local culture. Located in the Arequipa region, it is famous for the majestic Andean condors that soar above its cliffs. Beyond the natural beauty, the area is home to traditional villages where ancient customs and typical architecture are preserved, offering a true immersion into Andean culture. Some points of the canyon are even twice as deep as the Grand Canyon! - LAKE TITICACA
Located on the border between Peru and Bolivia, Lake Titicaca is the largest navigable lake in the world and one of the highest in altitude. This body of water holds great mythological and cultural importance, being considered sacred by many indigenous communities. Its floating islands, built by the Uros people, and other inhabited islands like Taquile and Amantani attract visitors eager to experience local traditions and ways of life. - THE ANDES MOUNTAIN RANGE
The Andes are the spine of South America, stretching across Peru from north to south. This mountain range features spectacular landscapes with snow-capped peaks, volcanoes, and deep valleys. Besides its geographic importance, the Andes are vital to Peru’s cultural identity, influencing everything from terraced agriculture to traditional festivals and dances that celebrate indigenous heritage. - MACHU PICCHU SANCTUARY
Machu Picchu is one of the most famous and enigmatic archaeological sites in the world. Located high in the Andes, this Inca sanctuary was rediscovered in the early 20th century and has since fascinated visitors with its stone architecture, ingenuity, and mystery. The Lost City is a symbol of the grandeur of the Inca Empire, combining natural and man-made elements harmoniously, offering panoramic views that leave every visitor in awe. - HUAYNA PICCHU
Neighboring Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu is the towering mountain that rises behind the sanctuary. The trail to the summit is challenging, but rewards adventurers with a spectacular view of the ancient city and surrounding valleys. The climb requires physical preparation and attention but delivers a unique experience to truly appreciate the magnitude and complexity of the Andean landscape. - CITY OF CUSCO
Cusco was the capital of the Inca Empire and today is a vibrant city blending history, culture, and modernity. Its cobblestone streets, charming squares, and buildings that combine Inca and colonial architecture offer a unique setting. The city also serves as the gateway to Machu Picchu and other nearby attractions, and is a center for art, music, and festivals that keep the cultural spirit of Peru alive. - PERUVIAN GASTRONOMY
Peruvian cuisine is world-renowned for its diversity and bold flavors, resulting from a fusion of indigenous traditions, Spanish influences, and contributions from other cultures such as Japanese and Chinese. Dishes like ceviche, known for its freshness and acidity, lomo saltado, blending oriental techniques with local ingredients, and the variety of potato-based recipes—stemming from Peru’s Andean agriculture—are just a few examples of this culinary richness. Each region has its own specialties, making Peru a true journey of gastronomic discovery. - NAZCA LINES
The Nazca Lines are one of the world’s greatest archaeological mysteries. Located in the Nazca Desert of Peru, these enigmatic figures were created by the Nazca civilization between 500 BC and 500 AD. They are giant geoglyphs representing animals, plants, and geometric shapes, visible only from the air. It’s believed they were made by removing the reddish topsoil to reveal the lighter sand beneath. Their purpose remains unclear, but theories suggest links to religious rituals, astronomy, or even prayers for rain. - HUACACHINA
Huacachina is a stunning oasis nestled in the middle of the Peruvian desert, near the city of Ica. Surrounded by towering golden sand dunes, this tiny village formed around a natural lagoon, creating a truly unique and paradisiacal landscape. Known for its tranquil atmosphere and spectacular sunsets, Huacachina attracts travelers looking for both adventure and relaxation. Popular activities include sandboarding and thrilling buggy rides across the dunes. Local legends even tell of a princess who created the lagoon with her tears while fleeing from danger. - UCHCO CANYON
Uchco Canyon is a hidden gem in the Huánuco region of Peru. Unlike the more famous canyons like Colca, Uchco stands out for its impressive rock formations and natural caves, sculpted over time. The area holds great historical and cultural value, once serving as shelter and ceremonial sites for the region’s ancient inhabitants. Besides its scenic beauty, the canyon attracts adventurers and eco-tourism lovers with its spectacular trails and breathtaking, lesser-known landscapes. These tourist attractions and cultural aspects highlight the natural and historical diversity of Peru, making the country an unmissable destination for those seeking an experience that combines adventure, history, and unique flavors.
